I had recently been to Uttari Betta with BMC (Bangalore Mountaineering Club). It was around 5 kms trek (a small one) but we had so much of fun.
We have started at 6.45 in the morning from bangalore, had breakfast on the way and we reached Uttari Betta by 10.30 AM. We had a introductory section and immediately after that we started our trek from a small village. The way was clean and steps were there, so it was easy to climb up. At first we entered the fort wall, and passed through seven doors of stone. On our way, we came across grass of our height (I have never seen that before) and then we reached halfway point of the hike which has a temple of Shankareswar at the top.
The view from the temple was beautiful.
We spent around 20 minutes there and we continued ahead crossing a small jungle-cave which was so much fun. Cave was a bit narrow, but was worth it as the view from there was beautiful. <3
After that we had our lunch and started back. We reached Bangalore around 6 PM.
Am sharing the link of my vlog on Uttari Betta trek here, The video is bit shaky, please ignore it 🙂
